As soon as the castle logo appears with the star shining across, many hearts skip beats. Disney for years has been the source of happiness for innumerable people especially the children. Philanthropy is widely practised by Disney as they whole heartedly work towards giving comfort, inspiration and opportunity to families, globally. From granting wishes through plans like Make-A-Wish of more than ten thousand children to constantly donating in projects, that make world a better place, the home of Mickey and Minnie Mouse creates smiles on and off screen as well.
Recently, Disney made a blockbuster headline with their initiative of donating $5 million to hospitals around States. This will be given in the form of toys and cash.
Around $1 million were gifted to the Starlight Children’s Foundation. This organization works towards bringing entertainment coupled with education at the doorstep of those children suffering from life-threatening situations. It has roots in more than eight hundred health centres across the country. Other franchises such as Amazon, Funko, LEGO Group and Hasbro joined hands in giving $4 million to the hospitals as well.
Disney as a hero was supported by reel life heroes of ‘Avengers Endgame’ such as Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd, Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth among others. They were accompanied by the CEO of Disney, Bob Iger. These characters stood as the metaphorical representation of the courage that family of the sick children hold. The megastars were seen playing around, laughing and taking pictures with the kids at Disney California Adventure Park. The event was known as ‘The Avengers Universe Unites Charity’.
If you are a fan of BDSM action then you should take a look at Bubblegum Dungeon series (it’s strictly for adults!) where to world’s most famous and kinkiest girls are engaging in some very awkward scenarios of rough BDSM and rainbow colors. While it sounds rather strange when you see it you will love it.
Trails of happy children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Anaheim and Garden Grove were photographed leaving the venue with huge yellow bags filled with goodies. They were also dressed in hero costumes to fit the spirit of the event.
Charity is inevitably needed to combat struggles throughout the world. With such heartfelt projects in tow, there is a brighter future that awaits those in need. Disney made a mark in 2016 by donating a whopping $400 million dollars towards Non-profit Organizations. United States has even acknowledged Disney’s presence by bestowing the company with the highest honour for social services, the Halo Awards.
Disney’s brave step will now give less fortunate children a chance to view and be part of magical experiences tagged with the company. Without just fiction, Disney sure knows how to wave the wand and ‘make a difference’.
