About Us - Payroll Giving Centre

We at PAYROLL GIVING CENTRE are aware of the current challenges that people face across the world – proof enough that charity is an inevitable issue. Yet even among more developed societies, the need for charity persists. Vulnerable people are found in areas that have known little or no development since time immemorial. We have developed a site that would give all donors helpful information about charitable giving in the United Kingdom. Our site is a one-stop page where you can gather information about almost every charitable organization that the UK has to offer.

Millions of donors use various ways to donate to charity. However, we always encourage them to use the methods that allow for donated funds to be verified. Naive belief in an organisation’s intentions is not a guarantee that that organisation carries out its activities in a desirable fashion. Moreover, we advise you to visit the websites of such organizations in order to get a glimpse of how the organization is run.

Charitygiving.co.uk - operated by the Dove Trust

In 2013, Charitygiving.co.uk, operated by the Dove Trust, was suspended with over £250,000 missing. Everyone who had donated to charity through this fundraising website was concerned. We have forewarned people in our site to be cautious in their online donations, including adverts and campaigns advising people to be wary of online donations. Several of our readers were caught unawares and have lost their money. The Charity giving website was suspended by the Charity Commission after the Dove Trust raised trust issues of trust and honesty.

Even though the exact number of donors and organization that were affected were not made public, individuals who were affected were contacted directly and some even received their money back. We estimate that over 7,000 people lost their money through the site.

Here at PAYROLL GIVING CENTRE, we have partnered with the Charity Commission of the UK, This is the autonomous regulator of charity work in Wales and England.

Do not just give money through an online service provider. Be diligent in your research. Enhance what you know and understand about a charity’s operations by using the information that we provide so that you may safe.

After the closure of Charitygiving.co.uk in the United Kingdom, Zarine Kharas, the Chief Executive Officer of Just Giving, said that charities and donors should be wary of their giving. They should give through routes that are separate and verifiable.
